Happy Spring

The children are all enjoying the spring weather.  Their little faces light up when it is time to play outside.  The warm weather has added a little skip in their steps.  We had a lot of fun this week celebrating St. Patrick's Day at school.  We talked about St. Patrick and his wonderful works.  He founded over 300 churches.  We also talked about the clover and how the 3 leaves remind us of God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  Ask your children about it this weekend.

Hugs and Kisses

Valentine's Day is coming soon and we are having so much fun talking about love in the classroom.  Use this time to help your children show their love for others.  Help them see the importance of doing for others and that service is a great way to show our love for one another.  They can help their brother or sister make their bed or they can help mom and dad with the baby.  There are many ways we can serve each other and by doing this we are serving God.

Dress Up Friday

I am looking forward to seeing all my little nursery rhyme characters on Friday.  This is a simple project and will be a lot of fun to do together.  You can make a great costume out of construction paper or dad's old clothes.  Look up some nursery rhymes on the net and learn some new ones.  I was surprised at how many nursery rhymes there are.  Dig in and learn something new together!

See You Tomorrow Night!

I am looking forward to meeting all the moms and dads this Tuesday night at 6:00 p.m. for PTF.  It is a great time to learn about what your precious ones will be doing throughout the year.  You will have an opportunity to volunteer to work at your child's school, so bring your servant's heart.

Back and Loving It!

I am so happy to be back at The Heiskell School this year!  We are off to a great start and what a sweet group of children God has given me.  They are truly a delight. We have already started learning our phonics, and all are eager to learn.  You may hear that B is like a beating heart, and it's true.  If you are confused, just wait for PTF, and we will fill you in on our special phonics chant!  I thank you all so much for sharing your precious little ones with me.
